The 25 Most Adorable Crochet Octopus Patterns

Mildred Bracho  - July 23, 2020

The time has come to finally talk about one of the coolest, weirdest, and a bit underrated creatures: the octopus! What is not to love about this ocean animal? For starters, their anatomy is entirely different from ours, which makes it so intriguing: 8 arms, three brains, their “torso” is over their eyes, their arms are attached to their neck, they have no bones, have suckers, expel ink, and the list just goes on and on.

They have been proven to be as smart as dogs, and their camouflage ability is just mesmerizing. Another interesting fact? Small crochet octopuses can be beneficial for premature babies since their tentacles remind them of the umbilical cord from their mom. The way it works is that the babies can hold on to these tentacles instead of pulling on medical wires and materials while they are being treated. How surprising and cute is that?

Warning: These 25 crochet patterns will turn you inevitably and irreversibly into an octopus lover. Continue with caution!
